Course Description: The Professional Aromatherapy Program is a 350 hours course of theory and practical training. This program prepares students who want to become professional aromatherapist. The course objective is to educate student who possess an excellent knowledge of aromatherapy along with a deeper understanding of the plant essences and how aromatherapy applied in your lifestyle and business administration.
Course Outline:
Unit 1: Introduction to Aromatherapy
-To learn and understand history of Aromatheraphy through from the ancient to present day developments and explore the meaning of health and the role of Aromatherapy in modern health care.
Unit2: Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology
-A thorough in the anatomy, physiology, common pathologies and provide student's basic understanding of human body diagrams and how Aromatherapy heals for specific health concerns.
Unit3: Introduction to Essential Oil
-To increase general information about Essential Oils. A study of the thorough foundation in the science and safe use of Essential Oils.
Unit4: Essential Oil Production and Quality
-To understand about the ways Essential Oils - carrier oil and Hydrosol are produced, tested, sold and investigated the factors that influence their purity and quality.
Unit5: The Study of individual Essential Oils
-An in-depth knowledge of 46 Essential oils and their botanical name, family, extraction method, characteristics, properties, contra/precautions and main areas of use.
Unit6: Aromatherapy Assessment & Interventions
-To help the students gain knowledge and skills necessary in establishing and maintaining a relationship with clients which is required for the safe and effective practice of Aromatherapy
Unit7: Aromatherapy Therapeutic Massage
-Students learned the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out an effective full body massage application.
Unit8: Aromatherapy in Clinical Practice
-To help student learn standard Aromatherapy interventions and demonstrate client assessment techniques.
Unit9: Business Communication
-To provide knowledge on Aromatherapy business: working from home or open your own businesss.
Unit10: Practice
-To integrate the knowledge and skills learned in the program. Hand On practice on Essentials Oils method of application & blending and Aromatherapy Massage.
